The previous owner of my 1970 Barracuda hacked out the center console, leaving nothing but a unfinished project. I am putting an automatic back in and need the metal hump however I can only find a 4 speed hump or the entire AMD floor pan which does not come with the brackets for the console. Is there any place I can get proper parts with the brackets, new or used? I did find a 1973 Charger with an automatic console thats getting parted out, will that will work?

That would be correct. All factory floor pans are automatic. If it to be a 4sd the floor is cut and the 4sp tunnel is put on. I want to say the 71 charger is the same. Not sure about 72 and up. I'm thinking they are. If it looks like it it just might be. Pull a few measurements and check it. If it's cheap enough just get and make it work. You probably would save a lot of time. Of course don't forget the obvious, Barracuda. Someone here might have one. or know it it will fit. Post it in WTB.

Wow, I was unaware the base hump and floor pan were different on manual vs auto.

AMD, Classic Industries, Summit Racing, and JEGS all sell a full floor pan with hump, but make no distinction between manual vs auto.

I do believe they sell the center console bracket sheet metal, separately, so I know that one can be had reproduction.

Unless you're doing the work, yourself, it is common that making an existing sheet metal work costs more labor than installing a new AMD repop. Not always, but pretty often. When a repop saves 2 or more hours of labor shop time, it usually pays for itself.
