Nice, definitely lot of work getting it off the frame :)
Complete frame off
:poke: Great work anyhow! No really Nice work! Sorry about the jab. You'll know the next time. I've been jab about stuff too.

The other day someone came to buy something off of me. First thing he said look at all the race cars! His curiosity was peaked of what was under the tarp. He was a car guy. But he called my car a Road Runner!
🙄 I politely told him it's a Challenger. He dove a Slammed Honda with a soup can for a muffler he said he didn't put on. That might explain it.

Coming back today..Headliner and exhaust complete.
Finished dash last weekend, that goes in next then glass.
TY to Precision Instruments for outstanding work on console, gauges and dash components.
Ill send some more pics soon.

Wire, wheels, gas and go.

Gonna drive the wheels off it!

Looking great!
Was it originally yellow?
Original motor/trans?
Originally B5 Blue
Factory 340 swapped out for 69 340
Wanted the internally balanced steel crank
Light rebuild
Plenty fast enough for me..I'm more of a run through the gears guy than a top end guy

My cars mostly small blocks..except my 27 chevy..lol

As you saw in pics...there were so many patches, holes, rot...
By the time we got done with metal only thing left was floor(Amazingly) and trunk
3 years just metal work

I was never going to be a purist on this...
I have a 68 Vette, all original and untouched
I wanted this build to be what I wanted..

Stock looking with better spoiler, better motor, love the lemon, 71 strobe stripe kit..

Hoping promises are kept and Im driving it Fatrhers Day weekend

Ill popst pics as progress completes

“Ungodly amount of money” I know exactly what you mean. I’m right behind you and your post is proof that it can be done…what a slug fest though.

Stay with it..

I got pretty depressed at the 2 1/2 year mark.
It was a 60th birthday present from my wife.
Drove it for 2 years and started on it.

I'm sure everyone can say..."For that money you could have bought a finished one"

Well....sure...but it wouldn't have been "Mine"

Fight the good fight..It's worth it
