Check out this rolled over TA Challenger being sold in Florida on Craigslist for 4500. NOT MINE Crazy!
Ad READS:
I have the remains of a genuine "J" code panther pink 1970 Challenger T/A for sale. There were only 2,520 T/A Challengers made in 1970 and only an estimated 80 or so were FM3 Panther Pink. There is not much left to the car. THERE IS NO DRIVETRAIN, NO SUSPENSION, NO INTERIOR, and very little sheetmetal left. Photo is from the 80's in the junkyard after the car was wrecked and barrel rolled. What I do have is the following and ONLY the following;

1. 100% Complete original black 3 speaker dash assembly with excellent original dash pad, 8k tach rally dash, original "J" code VIN tag with original Chrysler rivets still intact. The dashpad itself is worth about $600, the 1970-71 only Rally dash with the 8k tach is worth about $1,500. The three speakers and covers are worth about $250, and the rally dash lighbar is another $100, not counting the metal frame, heater controls and switch panels. That's about $2,500 for the dash assembly alone.
2. original cowl top with matching vin stamp that matches the dash VIN tag and shows the original panther pink under the factory blackout.
3. The original front core support upper bar and side panel tops with the original spot welds in excellent condition with the VIN stamp, still painted with its original panther pink under factory black-out.
4. Original fender tag that matches the dash pad VIN plate, cowl top, core support and title showing the FM3 pather pink paint code in a little rough shape but still easily readable and showing some of its its original panther pink paint.
5. The original separate pink T/A second fender tag.
6. The free and clear open title from over three decades ago when the car was originally barrel rolled and wrecked that matches the dash VIN, fender tag, cowl stamp and core support stamp.
$4,500 Will sell the just the rally dash gauge cluster separately for $1,500.
PLEASE READ THE LISTING CAREFULLY!!!. Uninformed responses and dumb questions will not be answered. VIN number will only be revealed to the actual buyer, so don't ask.
Car is currently not in the T/A registry.

All he has left are the parts to do a rebody. That is why he won't reveal the VIN. It is also why it is not in a registry.

In some states it is perfectly legal and they have even enacted new laws to explain how to go about it. There were also 4 "rebodied" cars that went through major televised auctions so far this year that were disclosed as "rebodies" and legally sold at auction as a "rebody" and they brought some pretty high values somewhere between what a good quality clone and the real deal in similar condition would have brought.

Classic Recreations spurs creation of new law to help restorers of vintage cars

There is another pink TA, automatic car, just rusting to the ground near me. The dash is gone. Supposedly stolen. I have tried to get permission to take a pic of the fender tag. What a mess if another car was built around the VIN tag of the TA near me.

The listing was taken down. It did not expire over time. Looks like someone is doing a rebody.
