I’m about to upgrade my 8 3/4 to a Dana in my Cuda. I’m going to go with a b body Dana and move the rear springs in a bit. The previous owner made the front spring mounts and welded them solid so before I go cutting I wouid like to check if their in the stock position or not and where to install the new ones. So if there’s anyone able/willing to do get some measurements I wouid be super grateful.
In the pic I’m measureing from center of spring to centre of frame rail and I get 4 1/2”.

If it is any help, the rear shackles drop straight down centered under the frame rail.

I’m just checking to see if my front brackets are in factory position. They have been boxed and welded so I need to cut them off if their in factory position.

I measured several different ways with my stock 71 Barracuda. I think the clearest measurement is 4707, measured from the inside of the frame rail. Rod
