Has anyone removed or installed the rear SIDE windows? (Challenger)

I did an extensive search on this forum for rear side windows Remove & Re-fit for Challenger but could not find anything but this one is a great thread for side windows on Cuda - they woudl be pretty much the same...

    Melling HV Oil pump question

Does anyone know if there is much difference in pressure between the standard oil pump output and the high volume pump? Obviously volume of oil is increased due to the deeper impeller and housing but I was wondering how this affects the oil pressure?

    Kevko M301 oil pan fitment???

I am interested in hearing more from you and your experiences about this. I have heard a few times that an HV pump should always be used with a higher capacity pan, as they do suck out more oil at extended higher RPM use. And as the oil in the top takes time to get back to the pan, there is...

    Dash Speaker Grille cost

I have been searching for a replacement top of dash speaker grille for quite a while and have been amazed/frustrated by their cost on ebay. Just a small bit of molded plastic really, made in ?? wherever. Prices seem to range from over $95 to $135. With shipping of around $28-35, plus tax/duty...

Challenger R/T dash badge doesn't fit

Yes I know all about that "getting older" thing. I couldn't even be bothered looking at Barracuda /Cuda badges' sizes to see if my dash cap is to suit one. I'll just go with Plan B and glue a spacer in so it sits off the dash a bit. As I said, I could trim off the black tray bit from the...

    360 J heads & cc question

Thanks for the head casting list.

    360 J heads & cc question

Hi, I am building a 1971 340 for my 71 Challenger (not the original engine, this came out of a 340 Duster). The heads that it had on it, which I have no idea if they were original for that block, are 360 J heads which have that cast into them; with the smaller 1.88 intake. I would assume that...

Are hughes engines a good company?

I'm in Australia and I can only relate second hand info. A guy I know and have dealt with several times (who isn't poor either) told me how he used to buy gear from Hughes until he got abused once over the phone by DH, said he was the most arrogant person he has yet come across. Not sure if he...

Challenger R/T dash badge doesn't fit

I used verniers. I don't think a tape measure would give that much difference that you got though, unless other factors came into play!

Challenger R/T dash badge doesn't fit

As shown above, there is no question that the 70 Chal dash was a better looking one than later years. Wonder why they didn't continue that...pity.

Challenger R/T dash badge doesn't fit

I'm sure the dash caps are (or were) often a bit of a hit or miss situation - but this dash cap fits very well and even a closer than normal look will pass most tests. But it's most likely the space for that particular emblem was either not made to the correct size or it is to suit a smaller...

    Door mirror question.

I refuse to buy PG stuff because it's all made in China. As well, it's over-priced chinese. I know I would sound a bit gnarly and stubborn, but I would rather put worn / used but presentable OEM stuff that's made in USA or Canada 50 years ago on my car. Or new items Made in USA or even Mexico...

Challenger R/T dash badge doesn't fit

And yes, I would also have thought that they would have used the same sized badges for both E bodies, to save on manufacturing costs on crashpads. But it seems to be just another little quirky difference that comes up between models.

Challenger R/T dash badge doesn't fit

I have taken some photos. On close inspection the R/T letters now looked to have been drawn in by someone, and they were beginning to wear off. A little polish and it disappeared! But I didn't know about that when I bought it so I assumed it was a factory thing. I have measured it and also...
