Has anyone found a real electric choke set up that will fit and work on the 6 pack carbs. If you a 2300 series Holly carb in the center position, what makes it different than if was on say a 302 Ford. forgive me for using the f word here.

The original Chrysler center carb divorced choke is not used on the aftermarket, or other makes, 2300, you won’t find a direct bolt-on electric choke for the OE center carb. I’ve made my own electric chokes for the six-pack, detailed it several years ago here, still working as designed today.

More info here

I know this post is old but I just came across the post today searching for an electric choke set up for my 6brrl setup. Do you sell them or do you have a link of what to buy and how to assemble. This would be really helpful. Thank you.

See if this answers your questions.

You video was invaluable. I made one for my 6 barrel set up and it worked great. I modified your set up slightly by not using the relay to keep from back feeding into the timer circuit.

I found an 20A timer circuit with case and added a diode in series with the choke feed to stop from back feeding. Then I put the 10ohm 10W ceramic resistor in parallel with the ignition source and choke feed. Without your info I could not have done this. Thank you again.

Update. Here is a picture of the 6 barrel electric choke timer circuit that I made. I changed the 10ohm resistor to a 5ohm resistor to get just over 1A once the timer circuit turns off. So far so good.IMG_8952.jpg
