So glad to get rid of the 90's Weld Racing Tomahawks. Went with what she came with, more or less. Wheel Vintiques steelies wrapped in Cooper Cobras. Opted for the 15x8 4.5bs with a 275/60r15 out back and for the front a 15x7 4.0bs with 245/60r15. Poverty caps have popped off a couple of...
Just one other thought on the fumes as my Cuda had this issue. I had to readjust the trunk latch to seat the deck lid better around the seal. Long of the short was I had a bad seal around the trunk allowing fumes to come back into the car. Worth a shot.
I knew the alignment was going to go well when I saw this blue fish in the parking lot. Rare enough to see one Cuda but two!!!!! The alignment went well and my initial impressions are wow I'm so glad I did this. No squeaks, doesn't drift, tracks straight, I even took my hands off the wheel...
Alright Dudes, I finally got the other side buttoned up so she's officially off the jack stands. Everything is out of whack so I plan to set the ride height and get it close enough to roll at speed without effing something up. Lucky for me I found a local shop with certified gearheads who are...
Been slow going on the Cuda. Life gets busy but I was able to make some progress this weekend. Made and welded in some patches. Got the lower arm in along with the strut rod and torsion bar. I just need to order up a another A-arm (ball joint wont take any torque) and lower ball joint. I...
I spy a big a$$ hole. Found this under the splash guard while cleaning up wheel well. A ton of dirt, sand, and rocks fell out after I opened it up. Assuming with all that crap it took a long time to dry out. I may use this as an excuse to buy a welder for a little patch repair.
Parts to...
Anyone checking out Graveyard cars on Velocity? I like it but it pisses me off the shop guys don't seem to share the same passion for these cars as Mark does. Granted you have to have thick skin to work in that shop but it seems they are always screwing something up or jacking around. Maybe...
Well, the passenger side is all buttoned up with the exception of the wheel bearing dust cap (Dorman part# 13996). I tore down the driver’s side relatively fast last night so it’s scrapping and sandblasting time. No visual damage like what I saw on the passenger side with the A-arm, Strut Rod...
I didn't notice this nice divot in the K member on tear down below the strut rod but this explains why the rod was bent. Also hoping I didn't get into to much of a hurry with assembly as i still need to slide the torsion bar in. Wondering with the upper control attached if there will be enough...
Well reality caught up with me as I was shopping for parts. I had to come back around to the original goal which was to freshen up the front end to improve handling. The cost exceeded my initial estimates due to replacing the upper control arm, strut rod, brake rotor, and bearings. Little...
Parts are ordered, I'll fill you in with the details of what I decided soon. With all the snow in KCMO I'm sure my deliveries will be a little delayed.
Blasted, cleaned and painted, these parts made the cut to be re-used. They actually turned out really good. I should have time to order up some parts this week or weekend. I'm tentatively leaning towards Energy Suspension Poly kit, Stock upper control arm for now (Hotchkis has a great piece...
