Are you getting power to the heater motor or the switch at the dash , possibly a blown fuse , you need to start tracing the circuit .
I asume the hoses are connected & the heater valve is working to provide water flow .
The first picture / Mallory one is adjustable & can do exact;y the same thing as the FBO plate , loosen he screws & & slide the tabs in the slot to shorten the advance curve
Basically the converter needs to match the cam .
If the cam starts to work at 2000 rpm then the converter in the 2400 range is perfect
if the cam starts to work at 2800 rpm 2400 stall will be a terrible choice as the converter will lock up before the cam is into the powerband .

FMJ / Volare , 5th ave bolt right in , obviously you need a different master + a proportioning valve
Scarebird has some very cheap options using easy to get parts
Dr Diff also has Mopar solutions
It is about 1/2 way between USA & Can .
You can buy a Gun & get a carry permit , it takes some time but is legal .
