    Leaning to the right.........

Update - I pulled both bars and one bar was clocked the other was not. F.Y.I. I bought these bars a couple of YEARS ago and never installed due to other issues I was working on the car with. I contacted PST and sent them images of both bars sitting on the bench, showing the difference in...

    Leaning to the right.........

I replaced my torsion bars along with ball joints, LCA bushings, upper control arms, tie rod ends, steering box, pitman arm and probably something else I am forgetting. Set it down and it is leaning right by about 4" difference in height on the front. I replaced/changed nothing in the rear. The...

    Spark Plug Tubes

Great, I will order them today and give them a shot. Using silicon again was not going to happen. Thanks everyone for your wisdom, stay healthy!

    Spark Plug Tubes

Thank you both for your input. Being that these are aluminum Indy heads, do you figure the Milodon inserts would fit? Thanks again,

    Spark Plug Tubes

I bought a 426 hemi with Indy aluminum heads. Previous owner installed plug tubes with black silicone sealant around the o-rings for the plug tubes in the heads. Is this common? There was still oil in the well around the plugs so it was not doing a great job of helping the o-rings to seal. Plus...

    Belt Trim Install

O.K. I bought new trim clips for the top of the door trim on my 1971 Cuda. I mounted the clips on the door first - then installed the trim by pushing the trim down onto the clips. Is there a trick to this? I created some light dents in the top of the trim. I put a little auto detailer spray on...

    4 piston calipers ?

Thanks for the feed-back Steve. I had not heard that before. With every aftermarket retailer using 4 or more pistons, my initial thought would be they would work better.

    4 piston calipers ?

I know ssbc makes 4 piston calipers and older A bodies had the 4 piston calipers. My question is, does anyone make a bracket to use the 4 piston calipers listed above on original equipment 1970 ebody disc brake spindles. Or are there any aftermarket ebody drop spindles that fit the above...

    One More Brake/Spindle Question

Does upgrading to the stock 73 b-body big bearing spindles lower the e-body any? Also, if I want to run the C-body thicker 1.25 rotors - is the only difference in the caliper? Thanks again all.............

    One More Brake/Spindle Question

That's my concern, there is so many differing opinions. I don't want to dismantle the front end after I have just rebuilt it. I don't want to sub out the spindles for 2" drop spindles after I have assembled it all. I am leaning toward just spending the money for the drop spindles and having the...

    One More Brake/Spindle Question

I have a 1970 challenger I am slowly restoring. ( 360 & automatic ) I have put in a firm-feel stage 3 steering box with new coupler. I have new 1.03 torsion bars I have new tubular upper control arms from PST. I am rebuilding the lower control arms and welding on the stiffing plates. New Ball...

    Front end big buck blues

Thanks for input everyone. It's nice to bounce ideas off of people who know what your talking about! I think I will just go ahead and rebuild what I have, thinking about doing the tubular upper arms with the improved caster. Has anyone used them before - if so, what's the judgement on the PST...

    Front end big buck blues

Went to take my 70 Challenger for a alignment, lower control arm bushings gone, upper on the way out. Not sure how to go forward, have replaced prior the tie-rod ends, fast ratio pitman arm, idler arm and upgraded to firm-feel #3 steering box rebuild. Have not yet pulled everything apart yet, so...

New Points / coil or pertronix?

Yep, I did not want to post a long, too much info post earlier - just what was happening with the loss of spark to # 4. I had the tranny rebuilt and since it was coming out I decided to pull it as a unit with the engine. That way I could detail the engine compartment, engine and replace the...

New Points / coil or pertronix?

Great detective work Austa, I pulled the dist tonight - it appears the shaft is slightly bent. Thanks again.

New Points / coil or pertronix?

Thanks all, I think I am just going to pull the dist. and replace it with Pertronix dist and new coil. This is a driver and with a dist that is 45+ years old, I do not want to have to re-fix this again. Everyone agree that for a driver the Pertronix is the one to go with?

New Points / coil or pertronix?

good point, I will check to see if lobe is damaged. Thanks

New Points / coil or pertronix?

O.K. , Never had this happen, # 4 plug is not firing, new plug is spanking clean after 5 mins of run time. Checked wire, resistance o.k. put new plug outside of cyl and no spark. Changed wire with brand new & new plug- still no spark. Checked brand new cap and rotor - no spark residue on under...
