I have a rebuilt 727 transmission for 72 challenger. If I put it in reverse in goes in reverse at idle, but if I give it some gas the car still moves at idle speed. 1st, 2nd and 3rd all seem to be working just fine. Any ideas?

I bought the car and they have P265/50/R15 tires in the back with air shocks. I want to go with standard shocks can I do this or will the tire hit the finder? Also it has P185/70/R14 in the front I want to go with a wider tire and recommendations?
