Not an Ebay bidder so maybe it's normal but the bid history looks suspect to me. If it's legit, the seller should be happy with 80K. Personally, I can't see dropping that kind of money on something that hasn't been inspected in person. I assume that the buyer has recourse should it end up...

I was originally supposed to be there this week, too. I would have had a VERY difficult time not bidding on this one. Same color as the '70 I had as a stupid kid but with a white vinyl top. I think I like the black much better.

Wouldn't the shifter be the round knob with the button on top? Thought the T-handle didn't show up until 1971?

According to a thread on Cuda-Challenger there are issues with the real frame rails and a piece of angle iron on one of the front rails, so the "no apparent structural damage" claim may be in doubt. Quite an optimistic price.....

and the fact that they want you to call for a price tells me that they probably want true R/T money for it. Look at the other cars they have and what they want for them..

And I just noticed the fender mounted turn signals which weren't available on the R/T so it's a wanna be. Still could be a cool project, though

A picture of the fender tag and/or VIN would be immensely helpful. One of the pictures shows it being badged as an R/T but that would make the 318 as not an option. Can't imagine that someone would swap out the big block but who knows....

Just looked at the E-bodies and ouch! Yeah, it's one of 902 but $32.5K for that and no fender tag to boot? Don't know, maybe all of the other parts that make it what it was are included in the "tons of parts". I see other E-bodies in the pictures so it looks to me like he might just getting...

I'm sure that there are a few E-body fans watching Barrett-Jackson. A 1970 Banana Yellow T/A Challenger just went for 54K and I believe it was said it was a numbers matching. It looked very nice but then it's TV but I would have expected it to go for a lot more. Is the market for these cars...

Fair enough, I just didn't know if he was trying to say that, as project cars go, it wasn't worth the money.

Care to expound on that statement? I flirted with the thought of making an offer as it sort of is what I'm looking for in a project car. Not a car to flip, though, more of a project of redemption :)
