VIN only 5 digits difference between mine and this one. 15K plus a whole lot more to get it back on the road driving again. Don't underestimate the costs!

I went through a bunch of pics of it that were on Facebook. It is a worthwhile project. I thought about getting it but have 4 to do first. It wouldn't sit and rot. It would just be too long before I would get to it.

Car was on FACEBOOK
Go to the website and type in 70-71 "CUDA's and Challengers" Thread-
Look up Roy Martin Rotevatn, located in Livonia, Michigan. He posted the car for sale on January 15th. Leave a message. I copied and pasted the full ad below:

"Real 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T SE 440. This is a dealer demo car originally. The dealer ordered these with lots of options to show buyers what they can order on a car and test drive it. Loaded.

Rally Red with black leather interior and black top. R/T SE package. Luggage rack. Tinted glass. 440 4 bl. Was a auto now converted to a Hemi 4 speed. 4:10 Dana 60. Has a 383 in it now. Power steering and power disc brakes. Console. Rear window defogger. Rally woodgrain dash with tach. All trim is there. Interior door panels are exec. Dash pad is mint.

36,000 original miles on the body. Parked in 75’. Has some minor rust and a few patches. It is storage rust not road salt rust. Right fender is a NOS Hemi fender with part number. The rear wheel wells were taken out to stretch them and then put back in.

Add $1,500 if you want NOS parts with it. Tail panel trim, 2 rear wheel lip mldgs, hood mldg and headlight bezels.

$15,000. No trades. Livonia, MI.

I have 85 pics taken january 14th."

If you do not have a Facebook account, PM me, with your contact information, I will pass it on to the poster. Good luck
Phil

I looked at this car in person before the current owner acquired it. Feel free to contact me for an honest description.

I contacted the seller through Facebook PM
looks like the car sold
Response: I'm afraid it just sold. Might get flipped soon, but probably at a higher price...

Only if it is worked on first. It was for sale for a little while at the price it was at. The market isn't the best right now for project cars.

And that isn't the best project car for the market right now either.
Care to expound on that statement? I flirted with the thought of making an offer as it sort of is what I'm looking for in a project car. Not a car to flip, though, more of a project of redemption :)

If it's what you want then the market for it makes no difference.

Fair enough, I just didn't know if he was trying to say that, as project cars go, it wasn't worth the money.

Well, it's worth what somebody will pay for it. I'm not sure if it sold or if it was pulled in preparation for an eBay auction. There's some real value in the E body Dana and Hemi 4 speed so if you wanted to put it back to an 8.75 with an automatic you could easily sell those and have enough leftover to put together an original style drivetrain. Mind you you would likely still need to rebuild an engine.

You can buy one done in the low 40's. Factor what it would cost to do the car and you can be way upside down in it quickly. I was interested because I have everything it needs. Cost would not be a factor. Time is.
