Want to upgrade Challenger Convertible from 14" road wheels to 15" Rallye's. 440 engine, stock suspension all around.

Want to have bit bigger/wider than stock, but will be for street use only, with good drive-ability. Of course biggest issue is front tire rub if too large (car has stock fenders, not hemi fenders with more clearance.

You know how sometimes the stock e-body's look like they are pitched back at rest. Want to have the car sit level with slight forward pitch.

Realize I will have to adjust front end height when car is finally assembled.

So far my baseline is:
Front 15X7, BF Goodrich TA 225/70R15
Rear 15X8, BF Goodrich TA 245/60R15

Is this spot on? can I go a bit bigger on both front/rear, or not needed?

Thanks (Pics of your car would be great if using the tire/wheel sizes above, or similar)

I run 235 60 15 front and 255 60 15 rear on my cuda with zero clearance issues.

15x6 215 front 15x8 245 rear 1.02 torsion bars lowered 1/2 inch, 1" over arch Espo leafs on rear. Back in the summer I purchased a set of US wheel chrome rally wheels (Chrysler style)

I use 15 x 7 front with 235/60-15 and 15 x 8 rear with 245/60-15 on my 70 Challenger. No rubbing issues.

Doubleyellow, Just a couple of pix. A lot of snow here. Angles aren't that good.

I guess I went a little more extreme. 14x7's with 235 front, 15x8 with 275's rear. No clearance problems except I did roll the rear fenders a little to make sure the rears wouldn't rub.

I have 225-60r15 on mine all the way around and I could have gone bigger all the way around.

I have a 73 charger and 73 barracuda. I know where a pair of Mopar Rallye 15 x 12 inch Big Bolt pattern (5 x 4.5 inch) Wheels with BF Goodrich P295/50R15 105S are located. They are $400 for the pair and am wandering if they are worth the price and if the will fit the rear of either car without modification? I am assuming the 295s are to tall.

I have 235/60 on 15X7's on the front & 295/50's on 15X8 Rallye's (currently on my Charger, first two pics). They fit nice on any stock suspension wheel opening Challenger also.

Yes, as mentioned 12" will not fit on the rear of a Challenger without a mini-tub. My Challenger is now mini-tubbed & the springs moved inboard 3" with 15X12 wheels (third pic).

I can’t see the first number on the Challenger tire… What size is it?

I think I remember reading somewhere a while back that 15 X 8 with a 5 in backspace with 295/60's will fit on the rear of a Cuda..can anyone confirm?? My 275's look tight now, but I think stock is 4.5" backspace.

The 15x8 with 4-1/2" b.s. with 295/50/15's will fit with no mods. I had them on my Challenger and Charger both.

I'm sure you can go bigger, but I have 15x7 cop wheels (I'm old school here when they where the rage) and 255/60/15 front and rear on my 70 Challenger and no issues. I put 70 center caps on the cop wheels. Not as nice as the 17 inch Year One wheels though! I'm certain 275/60/15 will fit as well as 275/45/17s. Depending of factory actuary, 295/45/17 and 295/50/15 may fit with totally stock spring location.

I was thinking 295/60 15's........my fingers barely fit between the top of the tire and fender with 275/60's. I really wasn't thinking 50's
