Guys, I have reviewed several dozen discussion threads on this topic and am 90% sure that a set of these wheels should fit on my 73 ralleye challenger without complications....but I wanted to get a little confirmation before I place the order..
Regarding tires, I plan to select series that are on the order of 25-26' tall in the front and something closer to 28-29" in the rear (I have a ~4:10 original sure-grip 8-3/4 rear end that I don't want to modify at this time). any suggestions or experience with these wheels is appreciated.

Austa, thx for the feedback. My braking system is ~100% stock. Single piston calipers on factory size discs up front and rear drum brakes. Though I do believe that these 8" wide wheels (w 4.5" backspace) will work fine on the rear, I can't find many references to folks using such 8" wide wheels on the front.
If I use these, I'll probably go with a 7" up front. ( but having the add'l tire width up front would be nice .)

I actually have 18x9"s in front with no issues. No rubbing at all on full lock u-turns.
The 1st picture is with 17x8 Superlites (4.5 BS) front w 255's, and 17x9.5 (5.5 BS) rear w 305 DR's (Dr Diff spring offset kit).
The second is with VN514's that I had widened. I ordered 18x8 4.5 BS frt, 18x10 5.5 BS rear. They were shipped directly to Weldcraft where the fronts had an inch added for 18x9 5.5 BS w/265's front, and 10.5 6.0 BS rear w/305's.
The front diameter is 26.3, rear 27.4.
I have Dr Diff Viper brake kit on the front. Everything fits perfectly.

Guys, TRULY appreciate the solid, detailed feedback and great pics of your beautiful challengers. Will very likely order a set of these VN510s for my 73 in the near future. I think they will really take my car's appearance to the next level. As you can see in the pics, though they are certainly period correct, the original 14" x 5.5" wheels & 70 series tires (215s front and 225s rear) are simply lost in the wheel wells.
THX again.
