1970 cuda passenger door latch will not release

Need a little help with latch, please. Went to open passenger side door and handle moved but door stayed closed. Made sure the lock was off and tried the inside handle and door remains closed. Looked down trough the window channel and saw nothing that looked broken. Since the door was closed, access is through window channel only. I sprayed the latch unit with PB Blaster and will recheck tomorrow. Any suggestions to get the door open or best method to remove the latch? Would appreciate your help. Grandaddy

Try pulling the lever & pulling the door by hand i had a similar problem with the rubber door seal binding in the Jam area

Thanks for your reply. Surgery earlier this year does not permit me to pull and push. Got two fellows to pull on it and it popped open. Thanks again.
