I have decided to sell my 1970 AAR Cuda. To many projects have made by decision to pass this car to someone else. This is a rare AAR Cuda with EF5 red exterior and red interior. It also comes with the factory build sheet showing it to be a 4 speed with front and rear rubber bumpers. I has the original fender tags verifying the bumpers and a real deal 4 speed AAR Cuda. The TRANS AM tag is present. Original hood and duck tail spoiler. The car unfortunately has parted ways with its original engine and transmission prior to my purchasing the car. There is an A833 4 speed transmission currently in the car. This car still has its original door vin decal and original paint on all jambs , underhood and trunk lid. The car was stripped of the exterior paint and left uncovered in a barn since about 1978 as near as I can tell. The car has some rust areas that will require attention but it is not a rust bucket. Just trying to be upfront about what I've seen so far.
I've done all the searching and purchasing all the red interior upholstery from Legendary Auto Interiors, Red door panels, carpet, package tray, sun visors and headliner. The dash pad still needs to be redone.
No engine is currently with the car . However I have the original TA heads with rockers, date coded carburetors, and the original factory air cleaner. Included are the exhaust tips which are new from Year One.
Many new parts have been acquired for this project and many parts prepped and painted for assembly. I've invested a lot of money into this project with the plans of completing it but another prior project is about to come out of body shop jail and has more priority.
Please understand that I don't have to sell and will not be negotiating on the price. I know what it is , its rarity and most of all I know what I have in it and doubt you'll find a better value for this rare of a car.
The price is $65K firm. Please ask any questions you'd like.
I also have a few parts that the purchaser would have an opportunity to buy if they chose to. i. e. another original AAR oem hood , oem duck tail spoiler , OEM six barrel and date coded carburetors, non TA 340 engine newly rebuilt, and some AMD sheet metal I purchased for the possible patch work or replacement.
