I just discovered my PDF of the 1970 Plymouth Factory Service Manual (FSM) is missing page 23-82. My PDF is heavily annotated and I hope to retain all my notes, so I checked mymopar and e-bodies.org, and their PDFs are indeed missing this page.

There is also a bunch of pages missing from their 1970-71 Dealer Parts Book, but that will be another forum topic.

If anyone has this available, maybe we can post it here, for others to add to their PDFs, until those sites revise those documents. I recommend a 300 DPI scan, which can be down-sampled, but at least we can start with a nice image (and OCR).

I have OCRed my PDFs, so the text is searchable.

Thank you, in advance.

Mine is missing 23-81 and 23-82.

Please post 23-81 so I can add it to mine.

Good catch and look forward to 23-82 showing up.

My downloads are also from e-bodies.org and mymopar

would you check your PDF one more time? On mine, I found 23-80 twice, and in place of 23-82. Mine are numbered 23-79, 80, 81, 80, 83, 84, ...

The PDFs from mymopar and e-bodies.org both have section 21 duplicated, making the file fatter by some 190 pages.

I also inserted a few blank pages, into mine. I did this to get the odd pages on the right side, in two-page view. this is pretty slick on a wide-screen computer, and many of the wiring diagrams that span two pages are set up so in the two-page view, the whole diagram can be seen without flipping pages.

I went back and checked and you are correct. I do have 23-81 already.

Mine is ordered identical to yours (23-80 twice) and missing 23-82.

I will need to study how to do this.

That works for me. Way to go. I have optimized, OCRd, and prepared the PDF page, for those who want to correct their 1970 Plymouth FSM. The attached PDF should help many others in need.

Instructions: I am using regular Adobe Acrobat 2020 (not Acrobat Reader) and my PDF has been altered from the version found on mymopar and e-bodies.org to remove the 190+ pages of Group 21 that are duplicated (it's in there, twice)

  1. download and save the attached page 23-82.pdf.
  2. locate the wrong 23-82 page (in many cases, it is a duplicate of 23-80) on my PDF, that is page 979. or page 1092 in the versions retaining the duplicate Group 21 section.
  3. right-click that page in the page-view panel to the left of the window, and select "Replace Page"
  4. in the file select dialog, navigate and find that downloaded 23-82.pdf
  5. click through to replace.
  6. save the revised PDF and TADA, it's fixed.
