My '70 Challenger has a '71 440 with a Carter AVS 4966S carburetor. The idle speed screw or throttle stop whatever it is called threads through a plastic piece inserted into the lower carb body (see pictures of yellowish piece). This plastic piece has broken on my carb and the idle speed adjustment can change as the plastic (and screw) slides away from the throttle cam.

Anyone know where this plastic piece can be found for replacement?

There’s a guy that owns a carb shop over on FCBO. I’ll copy a link to this thread and paste it in a pm to him.

Thanks! The 440 came out of an Imperial, but the carb was purchased in the '80s from a junkyard. I do believe the carb came off of an Imperial as that is what I requested back then.

Yeah, that's the little goober. If the crack is in the barrel, it should be no issue as that is pressed into a hole surrounding it. Mine has the head with the tab broken off the barrel. How much?
