If you are asking about the correct carburettor for a restoration I don't know about 71 but 1970 have a AVS Carter or a Holley 4160.

It is a Holley carb for restoration. I can't get my PDF files to open or I would give you the number.

The correct type and part number for restoration purposes were, Holley model 4160. Mfg. model number , Manual trans R6191A and automatic trans R4668A. These were what they came with from the factory with the stock hoods. The shaker hood took different carb numbers. A very good option with less tuning hassle is the AVS or the modern Edelbrock Thunder Series AVS .
