1972 petty blue barracuda

Here is a good shot of a Challenger in Petty Blue from one of the paint sites. Hope this helps a little.

Had a 73 in petty blue and loved that car. Made me want to drive to the beach everytime I drove it. That color reminded me of the ocean for some reason. If that was the original color, you wont be disappointed! Good luck with your build. Side pipes are pretty cool on them too.

Different color Petty blue. Mopar never offered the Petty formula color. Corporate blue was a special order, and different.

Man it’s close but, yes the tint appears a touch darker. I just happen to be in the shop and took these with my phone
( all my pics are the iPhone). When I put a cheap paint job(acrylic I think) on this car in the late 80’s, corporate blue was the description we did. Like that color.

I am pretty sure the Petty Blue was a new option for 1972. Mine is a Petty Blue very similar to the second photo (black hood and painted grill)

When I was young, there was a guy running around town with a Petty-blue 72. It had no stripes, and ran Cragar SST's with meats. It was a tuff looking car. The only time I saw a car with SST's that I liked.

Wonder if anyone can help me to find some pictures of a tough looking petty blue cuda.Trying to figure out if i should paint mine the original color. Not liking the cars near my home town.
here is ours. original color from factory
