4 Barrel Carburetor for AVS2 Series 650 CFM Electric Choke Edelbrock 1906

IMO No .
The Eddy carbs are poor quality , Hard to tune & 1 size fits all unlike the 100s of different ones made by Carter & used by the factory
The AVS series is somewhat better than the Eddy AFB series .
Personally I would use a Proform 650 , it is far more responsive & tunable .

Found this on e-bay...good for a 340 stock intake and mild cam?
The AVS2's are quite efficient with their annular flow primary boosters and actually can be tuned quite easily with metering rods, springs and secondary air door adjustments.

AT least with Holley type / Proform you can change jets one step at a time & you can replace air bleed for idle & jet circuits to adjust the carb for different vacuum created by the engine .
Jet & rods are more awkward as they don't just single step & often the different steps in the rods create a good situation up but not down or the reverse . the worst part is eddy QC is bad & i have seen carbs cast with internally walls missing entirely & they do not warranty at all .

You can make it work. But once Chrysler came out with the Thermoquad, I just can't see using anything else carburator wise. Of course if money is no objection, multiport fuel injection is the only way to go!

Thanks man...opted for the street demon 625cfm. Engine didn't come with intake mating with 3261918Z. Have a dilemma...looking for the chrysler stud that will bolt back on the armature for the spring. any sources out here?

i have had luck with my street demon you got to take off the throttle plate and clean the junk out the factory left in there it has metering rods for primary seondary's you got to take the carb apart to change the jets a bit of a pain plastic fuel bowl helps keep fuel a little cooler and plenty of room under it for a spacer, holleys are great too

Thanks. I actually read the Hot Rod article supplied in a link. Good information.
