Here's my problem. Trying to get windows adjusted on my 70 challenger. The weatherstrip came from Metro part #RR4409 which they say is correct for my year model. The problem I have is the glass cannot fit into the molding correctly because there is no gap in the weatherstripping for the glass to go into up top. Basically the glass just mashes into it and pushes outward up top. Nearly impossible to get a seal up top without tilting the glass excessively up top which causes quarter window issues. As long as the door glass is already up there is no problem raising or lowering the quarter glass. But if the quarter glass is up the door glass wants to come up behind the quarter glass. Not good! I think the problem is in the weatherstripping since the glass can't go into it and pushes the glass outward. The weatherstrip has the gap along the A pillar but closes up at the roof line because the way the factory chrome molding is made. Has anyone else have problems with this roof rail weatherstripping? Posted pics for help.
