I understand that 340 Cuda’s came with 15” Rally wheels from the factory? Is this correct? If so what were the factory tires?
Thanks

E60x15 on 7" wide rims for 70 340 Cuda four barrel. The AAR Cudas had E60x15 on the front and G60x15 on the rear.

The F70x14 Raised White Letter Tires were the standard Cuda tire. This forced the 14" plain steel wheel to be the standard wheel for Cuda 340.

Dealer brochures and early pricing guides showed the 15" Rallye wheel with E60x15" Rallye wheels as standard on Cuda 340 models but that was not correct.
15" Rallye wheels on 1970 Cudas (non-Hemi) would have E60x15 GoodyearPolyglas GT tires.
14" Rallye wheels on 1970 Cudas would have F70x14 GoodyearPolyglas GT tires.
14" Road wheels would also have F70x14 GoodyearPolyglas GT tires.

The Hemi Cuda was the only standard 15" wheel and came with F60x15" Goodyear Polyglas GT tires.
As noted by XCudame, the AAR Cudas had staggered fitment with E60x15" front and G60x15" rear Goodyear Polyglas GT tires.

MoparCarGuy, thanks for the information regarding cuda 340 4bbl tires and rims. I was getting my information from Mighty Mopars by Anthony Young, which must be in error.

The problem starts when the early printing of brochures, pricing guides, data books, etc. put out information for the initial introduction of that year's model. Later, they see a need for a cost-reduction or customer demand leads to option changes. Memos go out to the dealerships informing the salesmen of what changed and you end up with items the customer wants not being standard any longer or unavailable. You also end up with some of the desirable options being offered on the base models. One example would be the Cuda performance hood (two scoops) being offered later on the base Barracuda (BH) sans the engine callout emblems on the scoops.
Most of the time the change is good for the customer. In the case of the 15" wheels as standard on the Cuda performance models, penny-pinchers robbed the more common Cuda 340 of this desirable wheel combo but did offer it as an extra cost option. Original pricing was not bad at MSRP of $21.95 to get the 15" wheels but the tires added $47.95 more. A modest amount.
