70 E Body Column Wire Identification

I finally got my steering column reinstalled after the rebuild- and noticed that there was a wire that had been cut/ was never reconnected. I had been driving the car for years, so I am not sure what it was for and if I should even bother reconnecting it.
It's on the column harness plug with the heavier gauge wires and is a dark blue color.
Can anyone tell me what this wire would have been for?

there is a DBL wire on the ignition switch harness. Ignition #1, and it should feed all kinds of things on the car... if things are working, without that connected, you may have other mods to contend with, too.

If you are referring to the DBL wire at the column plug. The Dark Blue White tracer DBL* Feeds splice 2. Then changes to DBL. Feeding the dash waring brake light seat belt light if so equipment and also the ballest resistor that is the run side of thr ignition.

If you have an other ignition system other then stock. It might be cut for a reason. Does the dash brake warning light work?

So this wire has been disconnected for nearly 16 years. Everything works normally, including the brake warning light. It's a large gauge (12g-10g) which sits next to the yellow wire on the column harness. I don't want to cause any potential issues if it does not need to be connected. The ignition is not changed.

The wire next to the yellow is black Q2 12BK it feeds splice 3 wipers and accessories. When the key is turned on or to accessories it should be hot.
. Or it should be. One never knows what could have been done to the wiring.
