Ok my 71 e body came with the am fm thumb wheel radio. I found this one, the part number indicates it is for a 70 e body. But the front plate appears to have been changed. there is no function label printed over each wheel and it obviously doesnt line up with the holes. Any body know what this plate is for and where can I get the proper one. Thanks

I don't know what you're working with for sure there. But I have a 70 Cuda with the R35 AM FM multiplex radio option. Here's a picture of my unit which is original to the car. You can see that the mounting of the front plate is different from yours, and and mine has the wording above the thumb wheels. It looks like your radio is also the R35 option. Obviously has the wrong base plate on it. Not sure what that faceplate is from. Maybe something later 72 through 74 maybe?

Nope it is straight not curved. The tabs where it screw onto the radio are in wrong locationand doesnt have the lettering over the thumb wheels that tells you what each thumb wheel does
I do think there were some pickups that came with a thumbwheel radio. If there is a part number on it would narrow it down.
