71 Cuda 340 w shaker project sold- Price Point Out of Sight!

A 1971 Cuda 340 car with a factory shaker just sold on ebay for $40,100 in total project condition. Is this sale price out of line with restored value!

"up for sale is a rare SHAKER HOOD CUDA purple, white interior car with a automatic console. I believe they made less than 300 shaker 340 cars in 71 but don't hold me too that. What you see in the pictures is what you get. BESIDES A 340 block. Car has all the numbers on the dash, radiator support and cowl."

Just to put this into perspective
A 71 383 Challenger RT with the N96 shaker in a little better shape sold for 14.5K in late December on ebay

This is done at Barret-Jackson all the time. A car will sell for stupid money. This is done to artifically raise the perceived value of other similar cars belonging to someone associated with the seller. This raises the "value" of their collection.

I think this is more of an ignorance on the buyers part. If the mistake is realized before payment, payment won't happen.

looks like both his 71cuda/n96 and his aar cuda were boosted/bought by same buyer(52). on moparts they were saying .. selller had zero feedback,,,, buyer had same feedback(52) number,,, fishy cudas

that 71 challenger fc7/ n96 didnt sell.

I was watching that all week too! The zero feedback made no sense. We may never know if its BS!! Someone asked him to post another picture of the fender tag, and he never did. I don't know about you guys, But I couldn't make anything out on those two fender tags.. Crap picture. As far as the 71 n96 challenger goes which I love, I think the 71 shaker cuda is worth more anyway.. Just saying! The color combo was beautiful on the car when done of coarse. But It was an Automatic tranny car and didn't have the shaker hood , so I don't see it being worth that much. But what do I know?
