Hi, This is NOT a thin veiled for sale thread or anything. Its not my car, but I hope it might be someday soon. I want to describe a car that a good friend has and I would like an opinion of valuation. I understand there are variables, but I know these cars well enough to see quality and originality, so please bear with me.

1971 Cuda, B7 blue, Black vinyl top
Original 340 car with a 4 speed, the engine is not matching, but the trans is. "hidden" body numbers intact and matching.
Original N96 shaker car
Original V6X black billboard stripe
Original fender tag and build sheet to prove these.
Older restoration (20-25 years ago). Nicely done, no bondo, all solid. Some patches were used, but much original sheet metal. Nice interior with redone seats. 8.5/10 driver plus car in my opinion. Cleans up good enough for any show.
Owner has resto pictures, before and after, etc. Good documentation.

Thank you for your time.

You’re going to get all kinds of figures I suppose. In my opinion, a billboard, 4-spd, 340 71 Cuda comes in just below the multi-carb 71 cudas in desirability/value. The 71 340 cars frequently have great handling options as well (front+rear sway bars, quick ratio power steering). I’m thinking $75K

If you can scoop it up for less than $55,000 and are going to keep it for awhile and enjoy it, you're decision is made for you. The main thing about a car is if it "does it" for you and this one sounds like it does. 71 is a very desirable year as they produced low quantities compared to 1970.

Everyone goes crazy for 71's. They made less than 1000. Very few shakers.
How much does he want?
He's a friend? Offered you at a price already? Less than $75?
Pay him.
