727 transmission

I have a 72 challenger with a 727 auto transmission with a floor shifter. It just started not wanting to go into park. After further troubleshooting the car goes into all gears but on the indication seems off. Any ideas?

Check the linkage. It sounds like the adjustment nut may be loose on the rod.
