Deleting the A/C on my 73 Cuda. Will delete compressor and heater control valve and run hoses direct to heater core. Without changing heater boxes what changes must be made to have heat and more importantly the defrost work?

Nothing. The heater box and defroster don't know the AC is gone. I removed my AC from my 70 Challenger years ago before I moved to Arizona! Thanking about putting it back now!

The holes in the cowl firewall are the biggest cosmetic items that still haunt my car. I removed a dealer-installed A/C unit back in the 1980s. I concur with Xcudame, the heating and cooling circuits are, more or less, separate, and removing the A/C parts has little impact on the heating parts.
