1st question, Is a factory ordered U82 sales code (E60-15 rally wheels) something that would add value to a normal 340 cuda? Seems like most were 14" from the factory.

And as long as we are talking OE options what about factory AC, Power steering, Power brakes, Power windows, 6 way seat, Leather, luggage rack? I guess other than billboards, 4 speeds and shakers, what do people get excited over? And no, I do not have a car with all of those together, that would sure be cool!

Honestly, with how rare our E-Bodies are, just finding a nice rust free original with everything working would be highly desirable these days. I switched to 15" rims on my 70 Challenger pretty soon after I bought it (86?) because there are more tire options in 15". 4-spd cars seem a little more desirable. Shacker hoods were pretty rare, so they would bring a few dollars.

I always hold this to be true, "An item is only worth what someone is willing to pay and the owner is willing to part with."

is this another "which options are cool" thread? even one that is "which options would make my car more valuable" thread?

let me go copy paste from some other threads, be back soon...

No need to be a smarty pants... I dont recall any discussions similar to this when I searched via google. If there are posts about this, please reply with links.

I really like the 4 speed, and color...but as for the 6 way seat, light package, AM 8 track, etc not as important. However having a well optioned car seems to be a good conversational piece.

I have a 70 Challenger R/T S.E. and a 70 Charger R/T S.E. that are both loaded with options in addition to the A47 S.E. package. Power windows, power steering, power disc brakes, A/C, cruise, rear defoggers, 6 way seats, luggage racks (but I hate how they look, so I have them on other decklids stored away). Along with several other options.

I have a pretty nicely optioned 70 340 4 speed Cuda.
I would say the option to have would be a factory shaker (mine doesn't)
To me the next best would be a 4 speed.
Rally gauges are nice
Rubber bumper and colored mirrors would be my next pick followed by axle package then PS and PB.
I am not a big fan of AC on a performance car, I don't like the look under the hood.
15's are a nice option, but easy to add, my car had them added.

A BIG factor in my opinion is color.
I think that can really affect the desirability and price in my opinion.

These cars are expensive in any configuration and the more the options the better.
