FOR SALE A true factory-reference, investment-grade 1970 Plymouth Barracuda – numbers-matching, California survivor

Looking like this was a 13 year old with stolen pics catfishing. Met up with people who knew their stuff and even a potential buyer(people who know me know my love of white cars, especially with red, tan, or blue inside) and the game was over. I also have zero trouble in hurting feelings with an offer. There’s that.

This thread was very frustrating. Bickering over obvious inconsistencies with the Barracuda for sale. A better approach would have been for the seller to offer up a review by our forum members prior to advertising it for sale.
A nice car but the 318/904/7-1/4 would require many corrections to get it up to even a $50k car. It is a good candidate for an engine swap as a Cuda tribute car. The additional investment would put it at about $65-75k, right in tribute Cuda price range.

Yep, the really crappy thing is I’ve been wanting more options on a car style I like. Even considered posting a want ad for such, as long as it has a 318 or up. I like to drive on two lanes so it’s not as important to me as it was 25 years ago to have a big engine. Problem is that typically nets people selling junk, or guys pushing cars that don’t fit the bill. Countless times I get an auto offered when I say three pedals only. Etc etc

However, I’m not into being jerked around. Especially not by a guy that sure would seem to know more than he lets on.

Hey I understand. I guess I’m not more outgoing in my aggravated mood Like some of the other members but I get it. I have the experience when I post a wanted add and someone will chime in with I got the part. It’s boxed up and I got pictures. Ok great send me a picture of what I’m buying. I only need this but I will buy everything to get what I want/need. I get the reply back ok. And that’s it. No pictures etc. I mean seriously why even waste our time. I don’t have time to wait for you to take pictures download the pics etc. when I post a wanted add I’m already a week behind on needing the part.

Actually it was kind of fun reading everyone's posts! Lots of knowledge here and very difficult to pull any shenanigans on this site. But true, if someone wants the car and makes a decent offer, it should be seriously considered and not ignored completely. It would make a nice Cuda tribute and be more valuable as such.

OP joined site exclusively to sell the car if you watched the number of posts he
I’m going to be silent until I get 10 years of seniority on this site. I’ll still know nothing but I’m thankful for all the legends who lived these cars in there hay day. They have taken a 9 year old kid in the 90’s to finding the car the memories were created in to restore it today and hopefully passing it down to my oldest son.
