Thank you, so glad to be at this stage, prepping for paint takes forever. One more milestone, cut and buff engine and trunk compartment, and paint will be done, well except for touch ups I'm sure will find and make a few before its over,

yep persistence is the key, wet sanded today, looks like I will be shooting a few more coats in the engine compartment, don't like some of the coverage on a few odd angle areas, owell one more day, :BangHead: hard shooting paint standing on your head. last car I did was a 68 charger but it was on a rotisserire, way easier to get to those hard spots, doubtful if I'll ever do another one this way, tough on an old fat guy,

thank you, still have't touched up the engine compartment yet, been lazy. Been looking at jobs and running bids. hoping tomorrow I'll have some motivation and get out there and mask it off again. I did talk to my painter friend who owns the body shop he ordered some chip guard for inner fender wells for me, I was going to use some SEM rubberized undercoating, which I have used before but I think this will offer a little more protection for rocks, stones and whats left of the roads here in michigan.

well still working on money making projects, did manage to get the rear springs ordered from Eaton Detroit spring, only place that can get a 78-615 (i believe) AAR rear spring set. they were out of stock also, but they made me a set. They completed them last wednesday but to busy to get them, they shut down this coming week until the following monday. Hopefully by then I should be catching up on the work load. Also dropped of my 8 3/4 at a local shop in Jackson, Advantage drive line. Having them put in a 3.73, and freshen up the rest, they are also checking the drive shaft for trueness. So i have just about everything covered but the engine and transmission. Still waiting on the engine builder to start, trying to get him to order the parts from Hughes, not sure if they have a lead out time or not. Going to go get my block heads and transmission here shortly and take it to someone else. Did make it to the Grass lake 4th of July parade, had my two granddaughters with me throwing candy, this litttle town is growing with leaps and bounds :(. Happy 4th of July weekend everyone.
