I know this orange vent came in a 70 car and I was going to paint to black one orange or swap the guts from the black to the orange, which I would prefer. But the orange vent has a broken clip holder and I'm not sure how to repair that. The black one must be a later model because it lacks the Brocken piece that my orange vent has. Let me know what you guys think and any ideas on repairing my orange vent would be helpful thanks

Exactly right, the later ones don't have the rod to open & close the flap, probably because the holder frequently broke as the orange one did. I have repaired them using black ABS cement and a small sheet of plastic from a hobby or craft store to make a donor piece.

Yea I have the internals for the orange vent, here's a pic. I will try that with some spare plastic. Thanks for the info

Is there a way to repair the fins if they have broke off and move independently

You can use b body internal vents
They are the same, only the exterior housing is different.

Good info here-
An Error Has Occurred!

The 71-74 B-Body (and E-Body) vents will interchange but have the "thin" chrome perimeter whereas the 70 is a little wider. So it's worth spending a little time repairing.
