I like to keep an eye on A66 Challengers, especially the convertibles.
In my browsing, I found an 70 A66 convertible in Y1 yellow with the black bumble stripe, and automatic, pretty much the same car as mine for sale by a dealer in Georgia (way overpriced in my opinion). I have a few more options (rallye dash, disc brakes
Some interesting comparisons:
The car for sale has a door sticker build date month the same as mine (Oct. 1969).
The fender plate indicates an earlier scheduled build date of September 25th while mine is October 6th, 1969. The serial number differences: H0B133709 while mine is H0B 152XXX
The car is a survivor with a supposed 33,552 miles.
Always nice to see what my car should or will look like!
Could they have been relatively close in being built/finished in early October?

Can you provide a link? That makes 3 yellow with a black rump stripe JH27 A66 cars that I know of although I'm sure yellow was a popular choice for these. Should be a decal on the hood of this one but I can't tell in the pic.

Matt
I think you are correct, closeup of the hood- callouts look like decals!
Should be, with a car build this early!
Car also appears to have the mandatory early 15 inch rallye wheels.

It needs a lot of work. They will have to really work to find someone who will give their asking price.

It does need some work but I'd treat it as a survivor and leave most of it untouched. I would have to straighten that front bumper and replace the seat skins up front. Big bummer about all that paint on the bottom and it looks like the front valance has been painted.

Every area has been retouched or "detailed" ruining the originality. It has some creative photography going on with it. I'm sure it is a lot different in person.
