Bluecifer 1970 Cuda B7 Blue Restoration

That VIN plate does like nice!
Good find
Yeah, I was pissed that the PO let it the original get lost. Because I have All, I mean All other docs. And Every number and part I have found all match. Even had Mopar axle seals in it and the original push washers on the axle nuts. Mopar wheel cyls and brake shoes also....

More pictures from past progress. Note, the only rust on this car is the hole you see in the trunk. Car is now in Eastwood Epoxy Primer. I'll add some documentation that I have for the car.

My 70 Challenger SE RT had the exact same hole in the trunk, right above the mresonator hanger. Funny, the driver side didn't have any issues at all. This will be awesiome car when you get her done. Good luck.

I sent my three speaker hole dash pad out to Bob at ABC Moparts. I will be in Viet Nam for a few months. He told me he will have it ready for me upon my return to the US. I'm wondering if anybody has any pictures of the dash pads from Tom at ABC Moparts.

I received my dashpad from Bob last wk. He does great work.

I used Year One for my dash pad refinishing. They were the cheapest and you get what you pay for. It was sent to a guy in Texas right on the Mexico border. It fits pretty good. It would not pass for OEM by any means. The pad is actually flat black and the grain is not correct as the original. I had to trim the center speaker thinner to fit and the vin plate spot was shifted slightly. Also the finish at the defroster is not as nice as original. Since I've been driving my car the dash doesn't reflect the sun into my eyes like a shiny dash can.
I can't afford Instrument Specialties prices. All in all I'm happy with the fit and finish. Would it have been nice to have the dash look exactly like the original, YES but my daughter, that will inherit the car some day, will not know the difference. Just my opinion.

Well said RB73, my thoughts exactly.
I spent all that money to get my dash redone, and now I have a nice carpet dash cover on it, so you can’t even tell. I should have just kept the old pad with the plastic dash cap, it looked awesome.
Not sure I’ll leave my car to my son, but whoever ends up with it, won’t know the difference.
