Brake upgrades using factory parts

I'm working on a 1973 Barracuda. It came with disc brakes but like everyone else I want more. I know this has been covered because I can remember reading the article, I even bought some of the parts. Several years later when I want to go back to the upgrade and finish it, the information can't be found. My understanding is that with the 73 spindles you can upgrade to a larger rotor/ better caliper off of a 78 Cordoba as long as you also have the caliper retainer from that same Cordoba. Does anyone have this information? All help would be appreciated.

Did the factory part set-up on a 70 Cuda many years ago. Worked perfect. Disc-o-tech works.

This is exactly what I am looking for. The aftermarket stuff is really pretty and I am sure they perform at a really high level but I have a character flaw that won't let me use them. I 'm tight with my money. With your help I'll be able to improve the car's stopping and still be able to budget funds to other projects. Thanks for your help!
