CA Emissions Car?

My '71 Challenger has 2 fuel necks in the trunk, one to the fuel tank and one that is capped off. In addition there are 4 rubber lines on the inside fender of the RR tire. The vin indicates the car was built in the Hamtramck, MI plant but does these extra items indicate a CA emissions on this car? Has anyone tried to remove the neck and lines and is it difficult or worth it?

It is a vent for the tank. If you delete it you will need to find another way to vent the tank or you will get a vacuum build up.

The 4 lines go to each corner inside the tank. The tall tube contains vent lines which wont spill out..
I seem to recall Calif cars did not get dual exhaust thru the valance.. there are of course other differences..

Yes, California cars have always been more difficult/different/special/etc...
We are still the "benchmark" state for emission control.
