Hi, can anyone offer their opinion on what brand main caps these are?
They were not cheap ones, they are billet, and were installed about 11 years ago. The engine builder said they were billet steel and cost around $500 at the time. (can't remember what brand, that's why I'm asking here). They have WG-440 stamped on them along with a large bold arrow and the number of the cap.
At first I thought they were RPM caps (Racing Parts Maximum - manufacturers of Chinese parts). Because RPM use a similar part number (WG-440MP) and look identical. But don't have the arrow. So I emailed RPM and sent these photos and he said they look like them but they are not RPM ones.
I hope they aren't cheap RPM because they are only $109 a set (Supposed to be 5140 steel, but how good can they be for that price??) and the mechanic who built this engine said he paid a lot for them 11 years ago. Thanks .
