Classic Car Repair Shop

Just posing a question here to see what the feedback would be.......

If there was a repair shop that specialized in classic car repairs/upgrades, would you use it? Anything from simple oil changes to engine rebuilds/swaps. Not a restoration or body shop.

Yes or no?

If no, why not?

I know a lot of us can do our own work but just trying to gauge if such a shop existed, would it have a chance at succeeding.

I voted no.

However, if you're looking for a place.. I know of at least one that exists. Reach out to John at up at Roseville Mopar (Michigan). I believe there is also Morris' restoration (Illinois) services. I'm sure there are more out there to include GC in Oregon.

Not to take business from these guys but something like replacing R12 in your A/C unit can still be done by a good nearby shop.

In the future, it may become more necessary as fewer people know how to repair them but that's two fold. Fewer cars of this type will need repair and it will be hard to stay in business.

I voted yes. My neighbor up the road opened a repair facility specializing in older cars like ours. So I support him with things that I cannot do such as an alignment and A/C. I do all the rest of the repairs

I voted yes. I'm with Ronbo, there are some things I just can't do and as I get older that list seems to grow. I would have to vet the place first though and I would still do the stuff that I am capable of doing.
