Hey guys... I have several of the Trim Plates (metal, with the woodgrain decal) to sell and I'm getting a lot of questions about the difference between the two, Auto and Manual.

Is there a PART NUMBER difference? Or is it just the sizing that's different, somehow?

2899802 is the part number stamped on the back of the ones I have...

Hope everyone is having a happy and healthy New Year!

Any help appreciated!

There is a part number difference (but don't have them handy), and, and geometric difference

Geometrically, the cutout for the shifter area is perfectly square for Automatic trim plates. The 4-speed trim plates have a slight inward-turning radius on the shifter cutout opening corners

Take a look at Detroit Muscle Technologies website

IIRC the 1970 ones attach with 4 screws and '71 - '74 uses 5 screws.
