Does anyone stock TTI headers or are they all drop ship?

Ordered a set of TTIs for my new engine almost a month ago from Mancini. Checked on the order a couple days ago because they haven't arrived yet, Mancini just emailed me back saying that TTI is "Out of C4 coating and the expected ship date is 4/17"

Is there anywhere that stocks TTI or is it all just drop shipped? I haven't been able to find anyone who doesn't drop ship and I WAS planning on putting this engine in next week to have it ready for a big show later in the month.

Annoying, but that's the way it goes sometimes I guess.

Pretty sure they are all drop ship.
It would be way too expensive to stock all the variants.

Same here as R4
I’ve always ordered directly from TTI. Sam is good and a nice lady will tell you exactly when you will have them.
My last order was for a single (rh rb) and the we’re waiting on a coating as well. It took 1 week to deliver to commercial address.

What motor are you putting in? What size headers did you get?

512 in a 72 Challenger with Borgeson steering box, 2" ceramic coated.

I had checked with numerous vendors and they have terrible service. Some of them were almsot double the price, and none said they were in stock. TTI themselves only takes paypal for payment? Silly. I don't have paypal. Hopefully Mancini is correct and they get shipped, as the engine started going together yesterday and I'm hoping to be driving by end of the month...though, as life gets in the way of everything, I probably won't.

I got the same old song and dance from ALL the 5 "stocking dealers" that I called. "Back ordered for 3 to 5 months." I called TTI direct and was told they had them in stock! I don't trust any of the "computer pay" systems, so I mailed them a check, they called my bank to clear it the day they recieved it, and shipped the next day!
I ordered the stepped, coated, and raised runner set for my 512 with aluminum heads and had them 3 days after they cleared the check, (that took a day).
I also bought my Super Stock springs from a local Dodge dealer, they were around $60.00 cheaper than Mancini and no shipping! Mancini wanted $99.00 to ship them to Phoenix,Az...... Yup, I saved around $160.00!
It took 11 days from the time I ordered them to the day I picked them up at the dealer. The dealer didn't even know he could order old DC Performance parts! I got the part # from an old 1979 DC catalog, and its still the same part #!
This is posted April 2025, just so you know...

Great...

I'll call them Monday morning. Already running into other snags, just started mocking up the main caps and studs to put the crank in and there's 4 sets of studs and one set of bolts in the package. Odd and very annoying.

You must line hone the block when installing studs. Due to the fine thread on studs, they provide around 30% more clamp load to the caps, and tend to distort the main bore. I have seen peeps get by without line honing, but that usually only works if the clearances are big due to crank wear or they weren't making enough HP to matter. If you are using studs, you are prolly planning on enough HP to matter...
I own a machineshop if you have questions.

Wouldn't the bolts have the same thread count as the studs?

On the block end, yes. On the nut end, no. The finer thread (SAE NF) on the nut end being a finer thread (flatter angle) means there is a better ratio of torque to clamp force. Think of trying to push a car up a shallow hill as opposed to a steeper angle hill. The typical ratio from coarse to fine for clamp load is around 30%. Also the finer thread has a larger minor diameter, making the bolt or stud stronger too.

Got it. I was just thinking of the block taps and didn't think about the nut/head end.

No one had the raised runner step headers in stock that I wanted. I heard several stories about how TTI won't sell to anyone but dealers too.
I figured I would call and see for myself.
About 6 months ago they told me they didn't do credit cards, so I said I will send you a bank check, money order or my personal check and hold it til it clears and then send them. They took my check and shipped in 3 days. Ya know half the places I buy from don't ship for at least that long. I wasn't in a rush since the 512 isn't done anyway, and told them that.
Call and ask.
Besides what's the difference between calling a factory or calling a dealer?
