I have a set of Doug headers that I'd like to clean up what's the best way to clean ceramic headers just some Dawn dish soap and an SOS pad?

I don't think I would use an SOS pad on those. Maybe a couple of those Mr. Clean Magic Eraser pads? I've used those on some other stuff and they are surprisingly effective without being overly abrasive!

And if it’s in the budget, Jethot has done a couple of excellent jobs for me. Look em up.
