My late father-in-law bought this car in Jan 1974 for $1200 plus $48 sales tax (20xxx miles on it). He immediately yanked the 383 and built a legal SS/F drag car and raced it through the '70's. 440-6bbl shaker, 4spd, Dana. He retired the car when it became necessary to back half it to remain competitive. At some time, it got the springs moved, mini tubbed and frame ties. Has a pretty much stock 440-6 and 3.54 Power Loc now. Still has 6 cyl. torsion bars, manual steering and front drum brake conversions on it. Got rollers on it. Had to take the 10" and 4" Keystones off. Couldn't put air in the rotten tires. When we get it redone, it will be the wife's driver for Cars n Coffee type events.
