Flasher relay? Identify this relay?

I believe it is a flasher, turn signal relay? Been looking on the internet, and have had no luck identifying? Trying to locate a new one, because this one gets super hot. Any input would be appreciated.

I think summit raceing or year one. Just have to look around. Someone here might know for sure.

You might not need one. They do get warm that's how they work.

If it is getting really hot, you might have a short.

You can open it up very easy. Straighten the 4 tabs on the bottom and it pulls right out. Then you can inspect it.

Before you put an other one in. Make sure your wiring is good. It might be the driver or pass door switch shorting out.

Do you have the AO1 light group? That timer operates the delay on the ignition key and the switch title lamps.
When you open the door the lamps illuminate and when you close the door they stay on for about 25 seconds.
That timer comes live and gets quite hot if you leave the door open.
If I want to hold the door open I disconnect the battery or pull the timer out of it's connector.

The delay timer should cool down when the door is closed - if not it may have been damaged when someone left the door open for a long period or there is a door switch fault etc.
Someone on here posted it was supposed to be held against the steering column so the column could act as a heatsink. I leave mine hanging in mid-air away from any wires etc.

The interior lights did work, but now they don't? The doors were left open for long periods, due to putting the windows in. Didn't check the door pins.

I think the dome light and the other interior lights will work without the delay timer. Not 100% but pretty sure.
The delay timer may have created a short that has blown your fuse.

Don't know, but the dimmer switch is bad. Maybe that had something to do with it??

No I don't think so if the wiring is correct. They are two different circuits. The pink and yellow wires are for the dome light. Door switchs and dimmer sw for dome light. The delay relay is on it's own circuit if you look at the diagram above.

The M6B-18Y* coming off the delay timer is connected to the door switchs. When the door opens it trigers the delay timer. When the door is closed it times out.

Those door switches are original, probably need replaced.
