I received the LCA’s from welding on the plates, and they came out great!

I had him do the washer trick and will press out the bushing housing today

The rubber bumper is junk and a new one has been ordered.

Any recommendations on a good chemical rust remover?

most of the rust-removing products indeed, remove rust. As other have said, vinegar, evaporust, navel jelly (and a number of other phosphoric acid products) as does citric acid (my favorite). But I would not recommend pool (muriatic) acid or other sulfuric acid products.

if you want to soak your parts, you may need several gallons of material to cover them in a tub. citric acid may be the most cost-effective way to go. (1.5cup or 400gram citric acid powder) per 1gal water.

Thanks!

Looks great! I've been buying Evaporust in 5 gal buckets for my project, I get it with free delivery through Amazon prime (my delivery guy must hate me) but it works well and you can do a surprising number of parts with 5 gals before it gets used up.

Hello,

I had a great experience with a gallon jug of the 6x vinegar at Home Depot, for $20.

The stuff is a great rust stripper, but please please wear gloves.
