Hello from California! I joined a while back but this is my first official post. I have been into Mopar’s my entire life but have mainly been focused on the A body platform. Over the years I have owned 1 B body (69 road runner) as well as a 70 cuda that I had to sell about 20 years ago when we were starting our family.

I recently found a 71 barracuda about a mile away from my house and was able to make a deal. It is a 318 powered gran coupe that now has cuda fenders and a shaker hood.

I have lots of questions and will be needing many misc parts during the build. Glad to have such an awesome forum like this to suppprt the hobby!

Thanks for having me!

Welcome to FEBO from the desert! Nice Gran Coupe! What are your plans? Keeping the 318 (they can be made to run!) or switching to something bigger cubic inch wide? I think a Gran Coupe with all the badging along with a shacker hood and Cuda fenders is pretty cool! A Cuda Gran Coupe was never offered! Will turn a lot of heads in the non-Mopar world!

I plan to use the 493 and 200-4R transmission from my 71 demon project. Now that I have the 71 barracuda, I’ll pass the demon and my spare 340 over to son to finish it up.
