My car is a 4 wheel drum manual. Years ago I put on power disc spindles. 1 bolt on the cap manual master with power discs are on my car. The neighbor says get a complete power conversion kit as it will stop better. Or do I get new rotors, good pads, good brake lines and a proper master?

Is there a difference?

I believe a power master cylinder has a bigger piston because calipers require more fluid.
Usually a bigger piston increases effort, but with a power booster you would not be able to directly compare. You should upgrade to a proper master cylinder and vacuum booster, or hydro boost. Definitely worth the effort.
