AMD Drop offs came in 2 days.
Deciding how I should install them along with a 2 piece trunk floor? Did not want to start messing with the tail lite panel. I also have to put a patch panel on the bottom of each quarter panel.
Contemplating just using the bottom section of the drop offs (the top part of them are solid), and install the bottom quarter panel patches at the same time rather then starting to drill out more spot welds on the tail panel and wheel wells. Anyone repair their trunk and drop offs in this manner?

I think that would work quite well, but I would probably tack in the 1/4 patch before removing the trunk extension. This way each piece can be used as a reference point for the other. Also verify the lower valance fits well, before complete welding. And while they are apart, paint the insides with something like a weld thru primer.

Also, when you go to tack everything in place make sure you have the centerline of the car marked so you tack each qtr/ext the same distance left to right not just the distance from one qtr to the other.

I got good results with leaving the rear valance in place and fitting (and fastening) the quarter patch panels to it before cutting and welding each piece.
I did the outer, then the inner patch panels.
This way, you will basically see the final result before welding.

Good luck .
