Right now I'm replacing the rear wheelhouses on my 72 Challenger. I purchased Dynacorn's complete wheelhouse assembly. This assembly features the inner and outer wheel houses already welded together. I am a little disappointed as I thought the new assembly would have the correct zipper weld along the spine of the wheel house like the factory ones. However it does not, the inner and outer only being spot welded together. Any way, I seem to be having some trouble getting everything to line up. I know aftermarket parts are never an exact fit but I thought I would seek out some advice before I take matters into my own hands. Here are some pics of what is happening. With the wheelhouse assembly in place, the bottom lines up with the trunk floor and main floor pretty well. The problem is the top seems to be coming up short. I can't seem to lift it any higher and if I do, the bottom will no longer be lined up with the floor. Take a look at the pics and tell me what you think.

There is only so much massaging that can be done. with that said how well does the contour of the arch fit. if that is acceptable you will need to add metal too the bottom, if not and the bottom fit's better you will have too cut reshape and add some metal. ether way i would hate to spend good money on a new part and have to do that i would call them and find out there return procedure. on my challenger i only had to do one outer, got it from A.M.D. and was happy with the fit Good luck and keep us posted

Yeah, I'd sent that back.

Hell, even the jip cheepy pieces that were put in my Barracuda twenty years ago fit better than that.

Unacceptable.
