I have a 74 satellite with non original bucket seats that appear to be 71 E body. Can anyone confirm? I wasnt sure if there were other seats that look familiar.

Always good to check for broadcast sheets. That looks like 71 Barracuda upholstery.

That small release button throws me. I don't recall it being used on '71 E bodies.

Yep started in 71 on all models. I've had a few 71 E's with them and those are clearly 71 Cuda foams and covers.

My 71 has the small release button as pictured above and I know they are the original seats. I still say that was the ugliest upholstery in any year Mopar muscle car. I bought the leather to replace those seat covers, did the rear and waiting for weather to warm up a bit to do front buckets.

Looks like the long button made it into 1971 too. Lots of pics on the web with it and a bunch of vendors list those "long button" hinge covers for '70 & '71. That's more or less why I mentioned it. I know those ugly seats are '71 only, and thank God they didn't make into future years. Maybe Mopar was thinking, "if we make these hideous customers might buy-up to leather".

The seats in the Satellight were also used in the 1971 Challenger A93 package cars.

Thank you for confirming. Yes I agree, they are quite ugly. Im cloning a 74 into a 71 but think I will be sticking to 72 seats since I already have covers on order.

I agree. The 71 Cuda vinyl seats are boring uglyass seats. The leather ones are sweet.
For sure, I contemplated using 70 upholstery in my 71. I ended up selling my seats and put in some aftermarket seats instead. I hate the 71 seats.

After seeing the white, they don't look as bad as the black. I see the long button is a Canadian car and maybe that is why USA has small button and up North the long button

I pulled the seats today as I was also curious if I could be lucky enough to find a build sheet. Yes I found one! Well, a 1" x 1" piece of it.

If not in front might be in rear seat. Could also be behind glove compartment, mine was in front drivers seat bottom. There usually a letter size paper.
